In October 2021 I had a 3 week residency at Foundation OBRAS in Portugal nearby Evoramonte. It’s one of the most beautiful rural sites that I know. The purpose of this residency was how to find a way to present my work in nature and how this natural environment will interact with the work. Mostly I present my work in a white cube, a very safe environment. But lately when I was working in my studio I felt that the work was ready for a new challenge and new context.
“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more”
Poem by Lord Byron
